Part D Formulary and Benefit Administration (FA)
The CMS program audit area that tests how a Part D sponsor administers its formulary and the transition benefit.
FA is one of the CMS program audit areas. Its protocol tests two audit elements: Formulary Administration and Transition. CMS evaluates cases against the protocol's criteria and may also review other related FA requirements it finds are not being met.
