Audit field work
The audit phase where CMS reviews sampled cases against Part D contract requirements, using supporting documentation from the sponsor.
During field work, CMS reviews 30 samples from Table 1 and up to 30 from Table 2. The sponsor must be able to save and upload screenshots of the supporting documentation for each case. Root cause analyses and impact analyses can also be requested in this phase.
